K-Lite 2.7 install

 

Ok... if you can't figure this out... then... just hit enter on your keyboard, and hope it does something.

First off you need:

-A download of: klite27beta1.exe
-A download of: kazaa272_en.exe

Keep in mind where you stored these files after downloading!



1) Execute klite27beta1.exe

2) Say Hello to the installer and click Next

3) Click "I accept the agreement" and click Next

4) Read through what's in K-Lite (not necessary, but makes you go in awe) and click Next

5) Select the folder where you wish to install and click Next

6) Select what you wish to install. (I recommend checking ALL the boxes manually)

7) Select where you want to have your Start folder for K-Lite. (You can also select to not have one if you like going through your folders and stuff)

8) Choose to have K-Lite and a Shared Folder shortcut on your desktop or in the Quick Launch (in the toolbar next to Start) or set Limited Access user rights for yourself only.

9) The installer will go over and confirm with you the items you want installed. Read this, you may want to go back and make changes if you want/need to! When finished, click Install

10) If you are starting with a fresh install, K-Lite should see that there is kazaa.exe is in the folder. Assuming you already downloaded the kazaa272_en.exe file in the beginning, click Start KShield and continue to the next instruction.

11) Get ready to start the KMD setup and hit Start KMD Setup

12) A window will popup asking for the "kazaa272_en.exe" file. Make sure it is EXACTLY named like this or it will not be accepted! Select the file and click Open

13) After selecting the file, KShield will open kazaa272_en.exe. However, this will be spy and adware free when KShield is doing this. Click the Next and continue.

14) Agree to install the shitware and click Next, although we really are not installing it.

15) Again, agree with GAIN and click Next. We are also removing GAIN as you install.

16) Now we are at the point of where to extract kazaa.exe and magnet.exe to. A friendly message to tell you to install it in the same directory as K-Lite will come up.

Click Browse to look for your K-Lite folder. (NOT shortcut)

Click Next after you have completed finding and selecting your K-Lite folder.

17) Uncheck ALL of the boxes, you won't need it. (Besides this shit is from Kazaa, why would you want something from them?)

18) This is an overview of what Kazaa will install, just go to Next as this info is inaccurate since none of the crap ware will be installed.

19) Everything is now setup from Kazaa. Click Finish.

20) Hit the KShield is confirming everything went well. Click Start K-Lite.

21) Welcome to the Config screen. Select a name you want to use on the network.

22) Select where you want to have your "Shared Folder" All downloads will go here and files here will be shared on the network. Click Next afterwards.

23) Select the type of connection that best describes you. If you don't know, just keep it at N/A, it should still work. Click Next.

24) Congratulations! You have completed everything! Click Finish and give yourself a pat on the back (or you can ask someone else to, but do expect an unusual response from them)
