Unlocker is an Explorer extension that allows you with a simple right-click of the mouse on a file or folder to get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it is used by another person or program. Ever had such an annoying message given by Windows? Cannot delete file: Access is denied There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use. The file is in use by another program or user. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. Unlocker is the solution.

Unlocker 1.9.0:
The rumors of me not working on Unlocker have been greatly exaggerated. I have been very busy with pushing the envelope at work, MBA studies during evenings and week-ends, and life during the time left.
Still, I finally had a little time to address all the reported issues on Unlocker, and Unlocker now supports Windows 7. From a x64 stand point, it took me a couple of hours to get it fully working on my machine. I still have to sign the driver which might require a lot of paperwork, but hopefully it will not take long. For the impatient kind, I can provide alpha versions 
Interestingly, now that I have a x64 machine, I had no alternative than to get Unlocker working. Despite the increased number of ersatz, none of them really did the job and I really had a motivation to get Unlocker working.
Finally, I addressed the topic of false positives with Unlocker on my my blog. There is no malware in Unlocker and there will never be. And for the record I am not the only one having similar issues.

Actually this tool has been written to remove corrupted entries from Windows XP's autoplay. The background is that after an uninstallation of several applications like media players, some invalid entries still may remain in Windows XP's autoplay sections. These are visible every time a CD or DVD is put into the drive and the autoplay selection dialog appears. Now with Autoplay Repair it is possible to remove these invalid entries and even create new or modify existing so called autoplay handlers quickly and easily. But this tool can also be used to remove unwanted entries or just to tidy up Windows XP's autoplay sections for a better overview. As you may have noticed Microsoft still limits your half-open (incomplete/syn packets) connection attempts per second that the system can make. Microsoft Has done this since Windows XP Service Pack 2 to keep your computer from being used by dangerous programs such as Worms that scan the internet to infect more systems and to keep your computer from being a host of a Bot that connects to IRC that accepts commands to launch Distributed Denial Of Service Attacks (DDoS) against other people and companies they do not like. Unfortunately For us and companies, this limit effects our internet by limiting the capability of P2P (Peer 2 Peer) applications like uTorrent, BitTorrent, BitComet, Azureus, BitSpirit, eMule (eDonkey network), Direct Connect, DC++, ApexDC++ , or even P2PTV such as PPLive, PPStream, Sopcast, TVAnts, and many other applications we love to use but cannot take full advantage of.
When the limit is hit, You will recieve a Notice in Event Viewer Saying:
EventID 4226: TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.
This means Vista Has maxed out our connect attempts.
I have compiled an Auto Patcher to take care of this for you.

Unpack the archive and run Patch32.bat (for x86) or Patch64.bat (for x64). Run UndoPatch.bat to uninstall concurrent half-open TCP/IP connection limit patch. Once installed you can have 70,000 half open connections, these connections are temp connections anyways, you can change the limit to any setting you want,
go to run and type in regedit and navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\]
"TcpNumConnections"=dword:00011170
and edit this value to whatever amount of connections you need. Btw these half open connections are called Syn packets

TweakUAC(TM) is a free software tool that you can use to quickly turn UAC (User Account Control of Windows Vista) on or off, or to make UAC operate in the quiet mode. Using TweakUAC is extremly easy: just download and run it, then select the desired option on its window and press OK:
Turn UAC off
This option turns UAC off completely. If this is what you want, select this option, press OK, restart the computer, and you won’t see the elevation prompts anymore. Windows Vista will operate pretty much like Windows XP does when you login to its administrator’s account.
Switch UAC to the quiet mode
This option does not turn off UAC; instead, it only makes UAC to operate in the quiet mode. In the quiet mode, UAC does not display the elevation prompts for the administrators. That is, when you attempt to do an administrative task, you will be allowed to proceed automatically, without prompting you to confirm the operation. All other features of UAC would still be enabled: the programs will run with the standard user permissions by default, and the standard users will still see the elevation prompts (the quiet mode applies to the administrator accounts only).
Leave UAC on
If you have previously turned UAC off or switched it to operate in the quiet mode, you can use this option to restore the original behavior of UAC.
Note that if you turn UAC off or swicth it to operate in the “quiet” mode, Vista starts displaying a warning message in its taskbar. You can turn that message off, though: double-click on the shield icon in the taskbar to open Windows Security Center. Then click on the “Change the way Security Center alerts me” link, in the left panel. Finally, choose one of the “Don’t notify me” options.
Note also that if you have used the Local Security Policy tool of Windows Vista to change the advanced configuration options of UAC, they will not be affected by TweakUAC; you would have to use the Local Security Policy tool to modify them.

mtExplorer is a minimalist multi-pane file explorer. I have tried quite a number of dual-pane and tabbed file explorers, but none of them could give me 4 to 6 Explorer panes simultaneously in a single window.
So I wrote mtExplorer, which can be configured to display 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 Explorer panes at once. You can drag-and-drop files between panes easily. There are no menus, status bars or fancy toolbars to get in the way. Buttons are kept to a minimum. The right-click context menu is used to perform most operations.
mtExplorer consists simply of a small executable file. Settings are written to an INI file in the same folder as the EXE file. No installation is required. You should be able to run it from any folder, or pop it into a USB memory stick and run it on any Windows PC.

Windows XP AVI Fix was created to help alleviate the problem a lot of XP users have: selecting an .avi file in Explorer causes Explorer to lock that file while it attempts to extract video and audio summary information from it. While doing this, the file is completely locked and cannot be renamed, moved, or deleted. On big .avi files, this lock can last for minutes. Please note: Once this fix has been applied, the information normally present in the Summary tab in the File Properties dialog (right-click on .avi file, select Properties, and then the Summary tab) will not be available. To get it back, simply run Windows XP AVI Fix again and select Restore. Hit Start and (possibly) restart your PC.

What's this EventID 4226?
The EventID 4226 means, that there are to many concurrent TCP connection attempts. A connection attemp is a query to a computer, if it accept the TCP connection or not. If the computer is for example no more existent, it will be waited for a few seconds, until a timeout occurs and the connection attemp get canceled.
Since XP SP2 there are only 10 concurrent TCP connection attempts possible, while in SP1 it has not been limited.
Which effects does this limit have?
Applications with many connection attemps may work bad or not at all. Even web browsers, eMail clients or antivir programs can be affected and might bring a long time of waiting.
Also administrative diagnosticprograms in companies make problem. In short, there seems to be more problems than there is an advantage.
